General information: hours

In the autumn term, the children in the Nursery may attend for either mornings only or full days, whichever their parents prefer. As the academic year progresses, and generally by no later than the February half term holiday in the spring term, the school strongly encourages and expects these children to stay at least two full days a week. By the summer, it is expected that these children will be staying throughout the day on at least three days of the week.

The school hours are as follows:

Nursery

8.30am to 12.00 noon or 3.00pm

Reception, Years 1 and 2 (Lower School)

8.30am to 3.00pm

Years 3 to 6 (Upper School)

8.30am to 3.30pm

Although registration closes at 8.40am the school is ready to receive and supervise children from 8.20am; this flexibility eases traffic congestion and can be useful if older siblings are attending other schools in the area and need to be left at a similar time. For those parents with a child in both the Lower and Upper School there is a club from 3.00 until 3.30pm so siblings can be collected at the same time.

The school strongly encourages car pooling and the school office acts as an information exchange to promote this. Bicycles may also be left at the school, locked to a rack.
