Parents' Role: Parents' Association (PROFS)
There is an active parents' association, PROFS, which, through close liaison with the headmistress, supports the children's social life at the school. It provides a social forum for parents and supports non-academic events at the school. PROFS holds various social events at the school over the academic year. It also raises money for different children's charities. The PROFS committee relies on a system of form representatives and these and membership of the committee change on a regular basis.
Parents are encouraged to help in many different ways such as:
- Welcoming new parents to the school
- Supporting teachers on class outings
- Assisting with costumes for school plays
- Helping with a particular craft skill, e.g. photography
- Contributing to selected children's charities
Parents also play a valuable rôle via a system of form representatives.
Regular social events are held during the school year which always prove extremely popular.
