Prospect Weekly
An Appreciation of Shakespeare

The children were given a midwinter’s treat on Monday, with a fantastic performance of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream.’ Thanks to an interactive workshop in the morning, where they were able to take part in performing key moments from the play, the children were able to understand the rather complicated plot! The afternoon’s play was eventful, entertaining and hilarious. An appreciation of the works of Shakespeare continues at Prospect House!

A Trip to the Polka Theatre

Years 1 and 2 had a lovely morning on Thursday visiting the Polka Theatre to see the ‘Wind in the Willows’. The children were enthralled by the puppets, costumes and funny characters. There was laughter, clapping and much excitement, particularly at the end when everyone got showered with snow! It was a most enjoyable Christmas treat!

Sugar, Spice and all Things Nice!

As part of the Christmas festivities, gingerbread men were laid out in the hall for the children to decorate. They had great fun decorating their biscuits with sweets and icing. It is amazing how many sweets can fit onto one gingerbread biscuit! Many thanks to PROFS for organising the afternoon and thank you to the children for their donations to the Albaraca Nursery.

Years 1 and 2 – Carol Concert

It was the turn of childen in Years 1 and 2 to spread the festive cheer this morning in the first of their two concert performances. It began with the orchestra playing ‘Prospect Camel Ride’ followed by a range of Christmas songs, in which the children all sang beautifully. The readings were also delivered loudly and clearly – very impressive indeed. We look forward to the next performance on Tuesday!
