Elements of the Montessori approach are woven into the classroom and underpin daily teaching. Children have an innate desire to be independent and to learn how to achieve every day tasks at different stages. Practical life activities using real objects in real situations is crucial, and time is given to children to repeat and refine these skills. All children have weekly sessions led by Montessori-trained staff, focussing on self-help skills. This independence is nurtured right from the very beginning through everyday routines, under the enthusiastic, watchful eyes of our experienced Early Years team.
