Eight of our most keen maths and quizzing enthusiasts recently took part in a thrilling online national semi-final of the annual Quiz Club Championships (Key Stage 2 Mathematics). The competition was fierce and our two teams did battle not only against each other but also faced stiff competition from a plethora of other schools from around the country, many of whom were very familiar names to our eight determined representatives.
They battled valiantly, displaying impressive teamwork and communication skills and when the smoke cleared one of our teams finished in fifth place, only a few points off top position. They will automatically go through to the Quiz Club Championships final at Oxford University in the summer term. Our second team, who finished in 31st place, may yet also go through depending on how the teams in the other semi-final scored. Well done, one and all, for what really was a monumental effort!
