In the Upper School, to mark the importance of World Mental Health Day this year, the children discussed the value in talking about their worries and concerns with a trusted person. The children in the Upper School were given a different type of homework as part of the Get Britain Talking campaign. Introduced by Ant and Dec, the children were encouraged to write or draw about something that might be on their minds and discuss it with an adult at home. On Tuesday, Year 3 and Year 5 buddies enjoyed sitting in the sunshine together reading each other their Golden Writing stories. Mr Hodge then joined the children and encouraged them to pause, stop and relax by lying down and enjoying 10 minutes of peace! The children in Year 6 also enjoyed a ‘Beditation’ practice as part of their breathe mindfulness course.
