Last week saw the children in the nursery explore a variety of activities associated with the nursery rhyme ‘Pat-a-cake, Pat-a-cake Baker’s Man’. From experiencing the importance of order when sequencing events and following the recipe to make carrot cake muffins, to making bespoke birthday cakes with corresponding numbers of candles to birthday cards received. The children thoroughly enjoyed playing in the new role play area ‘The Nursery Rhyme Hospital’, and allowed them the opportunity to tend to a variety of ailments, and explore the necessary medical equipment to help, from x-rays to stethoscopes!
