Over the past few weeks, the children in Reception have enjoyed observing the metamorphosis of caterpillars to butterflies. They loved watching the tiny caterpillars grow into big caterpillars, and then creating their own chrysalises, which were moved into the butterfly net. Finally, they were able to have the opportunity to see the butterflies eclose from the chrysalises. Then, on a lovely sunny day, the children were able to see the butterflies fly off to start their lives.
