The nursery children were so excited to share their classroom activities with their parents. The theme of the week was the story of ‘The Gingerbread Man’, and saw the children undertake a variety of activities focused on the story. Problem solving STEM challenged the children to make a boat for the gingerbread man to cross the river, whilst the building challenge required the children to build a bridge for the gingerbread man to cross the river, safe from the fox!
Other purposeful play activities included recovering the broken pieces of gingerbread man by following the clues on a scavenger hunt, making a foil balloon, build-a-gingerbread man game, clay bookend gingerbread man, gingerbread man wrap, and finally, investigating what would happen if the gingerbread man fell into a variety of different liquids! A big thank you to the parents from the nursery staff for coming in and sharing these experiences with the children.
