Six eager members of our Prospect House chess team made their way by minibus to Dukes House to take part in an exciting chess tournament recently. There were 68 participants in all and each competitor played nine games to see who were the current chess supremos.
Our Prospect House team battled hard, with three children winning 6 of their 9 games. The team demonstrated impressive focus and determination throughout the day as well as impeccable manners. Although they did not feature amongst the medals this time around, they finished in a very respectable mid-table position overall. All present said that they were very keen to keep developing their games. Well done, one and all!
