Four of our keen Year 5 maths enthusiasts recently made their way by bus to King’s College School in Wimbledon to take part in an exciting maths challenge.
The competition was hard fought and consisted of a 40-question maths relay round and a ten-question problem-solving section where the children needed to employ their growing command of problem-solving strategies and resilience. Although the children did not feature among the top three placings on this occasion, all present enjoyed the challenge and demonstrated impressive communication and teamwork skills. It was also a great opportunity to visit a very prestigious secondary school.
Well done, Year 5. Let’s keep making the most of all of the great opportunities that are coming our way!
