Recently, four of our eager young Year 5 and 6 mathematicians made their way by train to Oxford University to take part in the Quiz Club National Mathematics Final. They had progressed through two preceding rounds to reach the prestigious event at the Oxford University Examination Schools. The event was extremely exciting and hard fought and when the smoke cleared our team had finished 25th out of the hundreds of schools who take part in this annual test of mathematical skill, endurance, teamwork and problem-solving resilience.

Our young maths quizzers also took the opportunity to take in some of the exciting atmosphere and beautiful sights which Oxford has to offer. It would be in no way surprising if they were to find their way back to Oxford in the future to pursue their educational passions.
