Where big adventures begin small

Our Nursery on Putney Hill welcomes children from age 3 into a warm, homely space where curiosity is celebrated, confidence grows, and every day feels like a discovery.

A happy child is a learning child

Nursery life at Prospect House

We believe learning should feel joyful from the very first day. Here’s what life looks like for your child at Prospect House Nursery.

  • Your child leads, we follow: When you walk into our Early Years classrooms, you’ll see children happily choosing their own activities from different learning zones — indoors and out. Our skilled practitioners work alongside each child to naturally draw out their strengths, interests, and confidence.
  • Mornings, afternoons, or both: Every family is different. Choose half-day or full-day sessions to suit your child — and your life. Focused learning happens each morning, with creative projects, outdoor play, and consolidation in the afternoons. Full-day children enjoy a freshly cooked hot lunch on-site, every day.
  • A love of learning, from day one: We draw on the Curiosity Approach and Montessori principles — self-directed activities, hands-on exploration, and collaborative play — to light a spark in every child. The goal isn’t just school readiness. It’s a lifelong love of discovery.
  • A family, not just a school: Children join us at age 3 and grow alongside the same close community of families all the way through to Year 6. The relationships we build — with your child and with you — are what make Prospect House genuinely different.

Your child is brilliant at something. We find it.

Our Headmistress holds firmly to the belief that every child shines somewhere. From the moment your child joins the Nursery, our team gets to know them as an individual – their personality, their passions, and the best way they learn.

That’s why we combine teacher-led learning with child-initiated exploration, weaving together Montessori ideals, the Curiosity Approach, and a genuinely warm school culture.
