For their topic this half term Reception are studying ‘All Around The World’. To enrich the learning experience, we have been inviting parents into the classroom to present about any country in which they have previously lived. Some of our parents were born in a different country and others were educated or have worked overseas.
In these exciting talks, the children learnt about various animals and landmarks that originate from each country. They tried Singaporean tea, tasted Turkish delights, dressed up in traditional clothing, decorated eggs for the Persian New Year and learnt the Japanese version of rock, paper, scissors! Across three weeks, Reception ‘travelled’ to Iran, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Singapore, South Africa, Spain and Turkey.
Thank you so much to our amazing parents who gave up their time to come in and present to the year group.
