It has been a very busy final week for the music department!
On Monday, the Suzuki violin group played an exhibition performance in the Lower School. In the middle of the week, 24 children from Nursery to Year 2 showcased their progress on the guitar and piano. They all performed with confidence and a smile on their faces – a testament to the joy of music instilled by our excellent peripatetic teachers.
On Thursday, Years 3 and 4 showed off their musical prowess, with performances from the Year 4 ensemble and a few other instrumental items, before the junior choir wowed the audience with rousing, feel-good songs from The Jungle Book. And lastly, on Friday, it was the turn of the senior orchestra, brass ensemble, guitar ensemble, string quartet, and, finally, the chamber choir (whose piece lasted 28 minutes!). Well done to everyone who took part.
