Prospect House was filled with the sounds of The Beatles coming from the Upper School hall for the annual House Singing competition. The energy was electric, and every performance was delivered with a unique charm and enthusiasm that would have made John, Paul, George, and Ringo proud and, more importantly, Mr Baker! The orchestra opened proceedings with a fabulous rendition of Yellow Submarine. Each house took to the stage with their performances of:
Phoenix: When I’m Sixty-Four
Pegasus: Penny Lane
Dragon: Eleanor Rigby
Griffin: Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
The final winners were Pegasus. The judging panel of Ms Cucciardi, Mr Payne and Mrs Turpin was thoroughly impressed with all the children but made mention of Rose (Year 4, Phoenix), Izzy and Ethan (Year 5, Griffin), Margot (Year 4, Pegasus), Shahrayed and Michael (Year 6, Pegasus), with special mentions to Nicholas (Year 3, Phoenix), Eleanor (Year 4, Pegasus), Nellie (Year 5, Griffin) and Lucy (Year 6, Dragon).
