We are proud to be able to offer an eSports in Education club as part of our after-school programme. Participating in eSports bring a number of benefits to the education table. Socially, by playing with others, children learn to work effectively with others and develop strong relationships building teamwork, communication and cooperative skills. Cognitively, the children are required to think strategically and make decisions quickly based on limited information.
At Prospect House, our eSports athletes are extremely fortunate to be coached by a top UK eSports competitor. As part of the club programme, the pupils had some amazing tutorials before competing in the club tournament. This culminated in an exciting down-to-the-wire final play-off this week, complete with encouraging cheering and a running commentary by the children themselves.
Congratulations go to our Year 5 pupil on a great win – unbeaten throughout the tournament!
