There was much excitement when Nursery V performed their first class assembly last week. The children were eager to perform in front of their parents, and share with them all of the work they had been doing. The assembly focused on fables, in particular three of their favourites: The Hare and the Tortoise, The Lion and the Mouse and The Fox and the Stork. The children planned the assembly, thinking about the story structure, settings, characters, props and scenery needed to perform their show! Demonstrating their artistic flair, the children helped make all of the props, scenery and costumes. It was quite a show, as the children effortlessly transformed the set between stories to the instrumental musical backing of The Muppet Show! The children delivered a very important message about how to be a better person through each story. A huge well done, Nursery V!
