This week, World Mental Health day was celebrated around the world. The theme this year is all about access for everyone to the support everyone needs to maintain our mental health. In the Lower School, it was called ‘Looking after each other’, which complimented the new school value focus on community. Mr Jones did an assembly on what it means to look after each other’s mental health and, later in the day, the children made ‘hearts that help’: a written message or drawing of affirmation for another child to take. We stuck these all over the climbing frame and then shared a community picnic lunch in the playground. It was a perfect way to share the afternoon together!
