This week, Year 1 looked at games and toys from different cultures. The children had great fun learning new games; one of the games was from Hungary and was called Halazas. In this game, the ‘fisherman’ has to catch the ‘fish’ in the net. They played two more games, one from India and one from Thailand. In addition, the children learnt about Ti Rakau sticks from New Zealand and had a go at making their own and playing with them.
