On Thursday morning, class 5O enjoyed delivering their class assembly ‘Reaching For The Stars’ to their parents and families. The assembly focused on aspiration and the effort and focus which is required to succeed in your chosen field of study. The audience’s knowledge of the solar system was put to the test, and they were introduced to a variety of historical figures who had contributed greatly to the advancement of the human race, particularly with regards to space exploration. The children even treated the audience to a recital of the moving ‘If’ by Rudyard Kipling as well as three songs, which all of the Year 5 children had worked on with the ever inspirational Mr Baker to complement the message of the assembly. Well done, 5O!
