Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Kew Gardens in the sunshine! During the workshop, the children used their detective skills to figure out which plant was responsible for eating an insect. They used special equipment to investigate the various minibeasts in the trees and then visited the greenhouse to learn even more about different types of plants. The children also had a chance to explore the earth, air, sun and sand gardens and apply their knowledge of different parts of a plant by drawing and labelling flowers around the garden!
