The Year 3 children enjoyed a whole afternoon of Roman festivities in the playground. Dressed in their togas and Roman soldier uniforms, the children performed Roman-themed jokes, poems and instrumental pieces. They feasted on a variety of Roman foods, including homemade bread, cheese, grapes, chicken drumsticks, olives and more, before practising the Roman shield formations in groups. Finally, they had the chance to work on their teamwork skills by creating their own shield formations. What a fun experience! Thank you to all the parents for the delicious food and help with the wonderful costumes.
