We are proud to announce that Prospect House has been awarded the Eco-Schools Green Flag with Merit, recognising the outstanding progress we have made in sustainability. This achievement reflects the dedication and collaborative efforts of our pupils and staff, particularly through initiatives such as outdoor learning, Gardening Club and the Eco Committee. These groups have played a vital role in supporting a range of environmental actions within the school.
Our Sustainability Week and the integration of environmental themes across the curriculum have further strengthened our commitment to fostering sustainable habits and awareness among pupils.
In awarding the Green Flag with Merit, the Eco-Schools team shared the following feedback:
“Your application has truly impressed our team. You’ve changed behaviours, inspired others, and made a significant impact. Our only advice is to continue building on your wonderful achievements next year. Great work!”
They also praised the school’s approach to engaging pupils, stating:
“Your greatest success was engaging pupils in Eco-Learning activities that have significantly raised their environmental awareness and knowledge. This has had a remarkable impact on fostering a culture of sustainability within the school. Well done!”
This recognition is a testament to the school community’s hard work and shared commitment to creating a greener future.
