The nursery children were so excited this week to share with their parents a typical morning in nursery, and all that it entails. The focus nursery rhyme was the seasonal favourite ‘Humpty Dumpty’. The children and parents investigated the suitability of various materials for a landing cushion for Humpty, built ladders and vehicles to help Humpty, transformed an egg into a hot air balloon with a variety of collage materials, and created an intricately-decorated Faberge egg with playdoh and loose parts. The role play bakery was hugely successful, with the children taking on various roles of baker and customer, serving salt dough cakes that would not look out of place in a Gail’s Bakery! A huge thank you to the parents for joining us and sharing these experiences with your children.
