ISI Report 2022
We are routinely inspected by the ISI (Independent Schools Inspectorate). The inspection team evaluate every aspect of our school as well as observing the quality of our teaching and learning.
In our last inspection, conducted in February 2022, they concluded that achievement and learning are excellent throughout the school. They observed that our children’s attitudes to learning are excellent and that they take pride in both their own achievements and the success of others.
Our children were considered to be well-organised and industrious in their studies. They listen hard and are keen to take part in any class activity, whether it is answering a question, suggesting a new idea or carrying out independent research.
Pupils’ attitudes towards learning are outstanding. Pupils of all ages love to learn and want to find out as much as they possibly can whilst demonstrating a genuine desire to embrace challenge.
"Pupils demonstrate high levels of academic and extra-curricular achievement as a result of consistently high expectations and a thoroughly nurturing pastoral care system."
Pupils' behaviour is excellent and their enjoyment of school life is abundantly evident in all that they do.
Pupils’ behaviour is excellent, both in the classroom and at other times around the school. They have strong moral values and clearly want to respect the school rules, which creates a consistently positive atmosphere. Pupils expressed gratitude for the opportunities they are lucky enough to enjoy as members of their much-loved school.
“To name a selection: a thriving outdoor learning programme, which takes place on Putney Heath; such annual theatrical productions as 2023’s smash hit Matilda the Musical; the hugely popular DIY club; and last year’s inaugural ski trip, which proved a roaring success. That’s not to say results aren’t important here, and the most recent cohort of leavers departed with 21 scholarships, of which 13 were academic.”
"Both younger and longer-serving members of staff appear inspirational, motivated and wise, collaborating effectively for the benefit of the children – this teamwork is the bedrock of the school’s ethos."
"Head holds firmly that every child is ‘brilliant at something.’ Through an integrated system of support, all children receive what they need, be it a nudge with reading or help with pencil grip."
"A Golden Leaf Tree in the entrance hall celebrates outstanding acts of thoughtfulness, effort or achievement. Innovative ideas, based on the wellbeing of all the members of the Prospect ‘family,’ are applauded throughout. Positive always unearthed."
“Irrepressibly and infectiously cheerful, this is a joyous school. Pupils, polite and bubbly, speak with true love and affection for their school. Great team, well captained.”
